Caring for the environment
Akva's environmental policy is rooted in the belief that we are all responsible for passing on a clean and unspoiled planet to future generations so that our children and their children may have the opportunity to experience the same quality of life as we have.

In order to live up to this responsibility, it is our goal to prevent and combat pollution by manufacturing high-quality, durable products. 

An example of this is that our water mattresses are manufactured using environmentally friendly phthalate free vinyl.  

Furthermore, Akva's textiles and vinyl are Eco-Tex certifed thus guaranteeing that they are free of harmful substances.

Also, Akva has recently entered a cooperation with one of the largest German suppliers of photovoltaic systems.

Caring for staff
A healthy environment is also about being responsible and caring for the individual. Akva therefore prizes such human values as freedom, collaboration and trust. These values apply to the workplace and external working partners.
 
In 2001, these attitudes were rewarded when Akva Waterbeds was named East Jutland's best workplace.
